Pietta Model 1851 Confederate Navy .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver

Pietta Model 1851 Confederate Navy .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver replicates one of widely used sidearms of the American Civil War. The Pietta 1851 is .44 caliber, and uses a single-action trigger. A drop-out cylinder offers quick reloading. Like the original, this replica utilizes a brass main frame and trigger guard, as the South had a limited supply of steel. The cylinder, and octagon barrel are constructed of steel and are blued. The Pietta 1851 Confederate Navy Black Powder Revolver comes with fixed front and rear sights.

The Colt Revolving Belt Pistol or Navy Pistol, sometimes erroneously referred to as “Colt Revolving Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber” or “of Navy Caliber” (Naval is heavy gun and Navy Size Caliber was termed later for another Colt model), is a cap and ball revolver that was designed by Samuel Colt between 1847 and 1850. Colt first referred to this Revolver as the Ranger Size model, and then Revolving Belt, but the designation “Navy” quickly took over. The Remington Model 1858 was one of the most powerful and rugged single-action revolvers of its day. Easily removable, replaceable cylinders made reloading extremely fast. The highly realistic Pietta Model 1858 New Army .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver delivers that same power with its blued steel construction, polished brass trigger guard, octagonal barrel and walnut grips. A compact version of the original, the realistic Pietta Model 1858 New Army .44-Caliber Black Powder Revolver boasts the same performance with a polished brass trigger guard, blued steel construction, octagonal barrel and walnut grips.
