Sig Sauer P238 Desert Micro-Compact Semi-Auto Pistol
Sig Sauer P238 for sale in Legal Guns Shop. The Sig Sauer® P238 Desert Micro-Compact Semi-Auto Pistol is an exceptionally concealable semi-auto pistol that operates with remarkable reliability. The P238 Desert features an alloy frame, anodized with a light tan finish; and a stainless steel slide with a durable desert tan finish. A 1-piece Hogue® finger-groove, wraparound grip provides a non-slip hold to enhances controllability during rapid fire. Sig P238 pistols are modeled on a 1911-style, single action design, with a thumb safety. The hammer recesses into the beavertail section of the frame to protect it when carrying the weapon on safe, and to avoid hammer-bite while firing.
The pistol operates with a locked-breech, short recoil action (instead of blowback) which locks the action closed, resulting in a slide that is easier to rack due to a reduced recoil spring weight. Slide serrations also enhance the shooter’s ability to pull the slide back for loading and clearing the action. The Sig Sauer P238 Desert Semi-Auto Pistol comes with SIGLITE® night sights for rapid sight acquisition in any light, including total darkness. The compact P238 can be carried comfortably all-day—everyday, keeping it within reach for situations that call for rapid deployment of well-placed shots.

Federal law requires that you be 21 years or age or older to purchase a stripped receiver or frame. If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver not a handgun or long gun. However, they still are “firearms” by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations as any other firearms. See Section 921(a)(3)(b). 18 U.S.C. Section 922(b)(1) makes it unlawful for a licensee to sell any firearm other than a shotgun or rifle to any person under the age of 21.
